Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalapeños
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon bacon bits
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup Penny Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Jalapeño Prep: (Tip: Gloves make this way easier!) Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise, then scoop out the seeds and membranes with a small spoon to make space for the filling.
  3. Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic powder, shredded cheddar cheese, chives, and bacon bits (if using!) until it’s all deliciously creamy.
  4. Add the Topping: In another small bowl, stir together the Penny Panko and melted butter until the crumbs are lightly coated.
  5. Stuff & Top: Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, and sprinkle generously with the Penny Panko crumbs.
  6. Bake to Perfection: Arrange the poppers on your prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes or until the tops are golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve & Enjoy: Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving, then watch them disappear!

Enjoy these crispy, creamy bites of deliciousness and prepare to make them again – because they’re sure to be a hit!

Stay Cheesin’!
