What food to serve at your Southern Baby Shower

What food to serve at your Southern Baby Shower

Hosting a baby shower is A LOT...
From the invitations to the menu, a lot that goes into planning the big event.
Plan a delicious menu for you and your guests using the idea summary below.
Note: Avoid sit-down lunches when possible. I opt for finger foods and light appetizers. The purpose of the celebration is to shower your mother-to-be and get to know the baby's "village" of loved ones. Choose light-fare that's easy for guests to enjoy.
  • Appetizers
    • Crackers and cheese (I'd go for simple, and put Piedmont Pennies in a bowl with small tongs or a spoon)
    • Crudité & ranch dipping sauce
  • Main courses
    • Macaroni n cheese cups (place mac n cheese in cupcake liners, top with a pad of butter and two tablespoons of Piedmont Pennies Cheesy Panko crumbs)
    • Mini Country ham & pimento cheese biscuits
    • Chicken salad sandwiches (use white bread and cut into 4 in triangles)
    • Pulled Pork BBQ sliders (upgrade with pickled onions and dipping sauces)
  • Desserts
    • Cupcakes (go ALL out on decorations if you know the gender)
    • Brownies (cut into small squares so they're easy to eat)
    • Custom-decorated sugar cookies (we love Cookies On the Side!)
  • Beverages
    • Non-alcoholic - Sweet tea, lemonade, coffee, sparkling water, ice water (slice fresh fruit horizontally and add to pitchers to add a glamorous touch)
    • Alcoholic (Optional) - The traditional mimosa, Peach Bellini, or spiked seltzers
