Host the perfect spring get together with 1-2 apps, 1 entree, and 2-3 beverages.

APPETIZERS

Choose set it and forget it items, so YOU can spend time with your loved ones.

1. Pimento Cheese Sandwiches. Not just for the Southerner... This delicious savory snack is for everyone. Make your own Pimento Cheese at home and spread on fresh white bread. Cut sandwiches into quarters to make it easy to eat. Don't have time to make the pimento cheese yourself? Choose MK's pimento cheese, she ships nationwide and the homemade taste is unmatched.

2. Piedmont Pennies Cheesy Biscuit Bites. Crunchy, cheesy biscuit bites of heaven. Cheese, crackers, check! Put Pennies in a bowl and skip the tedious cheeseboard.

3. Crudite with a fresh dip. Fancy, fresh raw vegetables, bite-sized to be easy for your guests to enjoy. Choose a store-bought hummus or ranch dip with a serving spoon. If you're feeling fancy, try making this Crudite and Fermented Soybean Dip (your guests will lick the bowl, it's that good).

ENTREES

1. Slow-cooked lamb. Lamb, yes, LAMB! Don't be scared. This dish is a crowd-pleaser and a chef-pleaser... Since it's made in the crockpot. I follow this recipe to get the perfectly cooked and seasoned meat. Scroll down to see the crockpot directions.

2. Lemon Za'atar Grilled Chicken Skewers. Juicy. Delicious. Trust me, there won't be any leftovers of these flavorful chicken skewers. Follow Off Script's 7-step recipe. I like Rhus Za'atar the best. It's always in my pantry. Woman-owned and based on Lizzy's Lebanese family recipe.

BEVERAGES

1. Strawberry Bourbon Kentucky Buck. I came across this recipe and now it is commonly requested by my husband. Think fresh strawberries, ginger beer, and bourbon combine to create a balanced, bubbly beverage perfect for sipping at the derby (or in your backyard). Offer something tastefully different.

2. Grapefruit Paloma cocktail (or mocktail). A classic. This fruity-fresh, pink grapefruit cocktail is a tasty as she is pretty. Recipe: Use 1/2 cup fresh (or not) grapefruit juice, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 1 shot of 100% blue agave tequila (or Ritual non-alcoholic Tequila for a similar taste profile), and top with 1/2 cup club soda. Garnish with a lime peel.

3. Lemon-mint water. Simple and refreshing. Place horizontally cut lemon slices (full circles) and lightly smash fresh mint leaves in ice water pitchers on every table. A functional table centerpiece, because a hydrated party is a fun party!
