Becky's Boobie Balls: A Lactation Treat for New Moms
Life with a newborn is full of joy, exhaustion, and a whole lot of snacks—especially if you're breastfeeding. That’s why we’re sharing a favorite from our kitchen: Becky’s Boobie Balls—a delicious, wholesome lactation treat that supports nursing moms while satisfying those endless snack cravings.
I gift these to every friend when they become a new mom. They rave about them!
These no-bake bites are loaded with ingredients traditionally known to boost milk production—like old-fashioned oats, flaxseed, and brewer’s yeast—all wrapped up in a sweet combo of peanut butter, honey, and dark chocolate chips.
🌰 Becky’s Boobie Balls Recipe
Ingredients (makes 20 small balls)
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of ground or milled flaxseed
- 3 tablespoons of brewer's yeast (I got this from Amazon)
- 1 cup peanut butter (I like this one) or almond butter
- 1/2 cup honey (use local honey to help with seasonal allergies!)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional: Coconut flakes, chia seeds, nuts, protein powder, other inclusions such as M&Ms
🥣 Instructions:
- Mix it all up: In a stand mixer, combine everything on the list from oats to vanilla extract. Dough should be stiff and slightly crumbly. If too crumbly, add extra peanut butter or honey and continue mixing. Last, add chocolate chips (or other inclusions) until combined.
- Roll it out: Use hands or a small cookie scoop to roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. If the mix is too sticky, pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes before rolling.
- Chill and enjoy: Place the rolled balls in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before eating. Store in the fridge for up to a week—or freeze for longer shelf life!
