One taste of Key Lime Pie immediately takes me back to summer nights growing up at Sunset Beach, NC. My mom cooked delicious grilled fish, slaw, corn, and we finished the night by a slice of Key Lime Pie (or two...).
Here is the recipe for Key Lime Pie, it's surprisingly simple and you can make it a day or two prior.
What you'll need for the Key Lime Pie
- ½ cup Nellie & Joe's Key Lime Juice
- 3 egg yolks, room temperature
- 12-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
- 9-inch or 10-inch graham cracker crust or Keebler pie crust
- Whipped cream (for garnish, optional)
- Zest from a fresh lime (optional)
How to Make the Key Lime Pie
- In a mixing bowl, beat all the ingredients on low.
- Pour the mixture into a graham cracker crust.
- Bake at 350F° for 20 minutes.
- Let it cool, then put it in the fridge to chill.
- Slice and serve with whipped cream and fresh lime zest.
